Circular Functions Learning Outcomes

(A-1) Distinguish between degree and radian measure, and solve problems, using both

(A-2) Describe the three primary trigonometric functions and their reciprocal functions as circular functions with reference to the unit circle and an angle in standard position

(A-3) Determine the exact values of trigonometric ratios for any multiples of 0°, 30°, 45°, 60°, and 90° as well as 0°, , , , and

(A-4) Solve first and second degree trigonometric equations over specified domains

(A-5) Determine the general solutions to trigonometric equations where the domain is the set of real numbers

(A-6) Draw (with technology), sketch (without technology), and analyze the graphs of sine, cosine, and tangent functions and their inverses for:

* Domain and range
* Amplitude, if appropriate
* Period, if appropriate
* Asymptotes, if any
* Intercepts
